Chris Cool est un artiste pop underground autoproduit dont la démarche est viscérale et sans censure. Depuis 2012, il façonne un univers intransigeant et irrévérencieux, à la fois ouvertement vulnérable et souverain. Sa résilience et son essence DIY lui ont suffi à transcender ses contraintes matérielles. Se nourrissant de ses expériences personnelles pour écrire, l’artiste pluridisciplinaire a une plume parfois sombre, mais sa pop n’en est pas pour le moins ludique, brouillant avec humour les frontières entre camp et masculinité performative.
Né à Val-d'Or, Christian Cool a grandi entre Québec et Montréal, et étudié aux Beaux-Arts, mais ce qui l’a véritablement formé, c’est Myspace, Tumblr et les afters.
Ses hits, il les crée pour les gays, les gouines et les dolls, puisant dans des influences éclectiques allant de Britney, Sean Paul et K-Maro aux Chemical Brothers, Trent Reznor, Peaches et Crystal Castles. Depuis ses débuts, cette vedette auto-sculptée a tourné en Europe et en Amérique du Nord et a lancé la série de raves en plein air WH0REKOUT — projet issu d'un besoin de continuer à alimenter la culture underground, non seulement en réponse à la pandémie, mais aussi par soif de défendre la vie nocturne.
Avec ses beats sales, abrasifs et contagieux, Chris insiste pour repousser les limites de la pop québécoise... et ça va en prendre beaucoup pour l'arrêter.
Son prochain album, Lord Take My Load, sortira le 23 octobre 2026 sur Breakglass Records.

Chris Cool is a self-produced underground pop artist whose practice is visceral and uncensored. Since 2012, he’s been crafting an uncompromising and irreverent universe that’s both openly vulnerable and sovereign. Chris’ resilience and DIY ethos are the driving forces that have allowed him to see past material constraints. Even though his songwriting is dark at times, reflecting on his own experiences, the multidisciplinary artist knows how to keep it fun, blurring the lines between camp and performative masculinity.
Although born in Val-d'Or and raised between Quebec City and Montreal, Chris’ real education came from Myspace and the afters. He makes hits for the dolls and the gays, drawing on eclectic inspirations ranging from Britney, Sean Paul and K-Maro to the Chemical Brothers, Trent Reznor, Peaches and Crystal Castles. Since his beginnings, the self-sculpted pop star has toured across Europe and North America and launched the outdoor rave series WH0REKOUT—born of a need to keep underground culture alive, not just in response to the pandemic, but to fuel Quebec’s nightlife scene.
With his gritty, abrasive, and infectious beats, Chris is determined to push the boundaries of Québécois pop in both French and English and it’ll take a lot to stop him.
His upcoming album Lord Take My Load comes out October 23 2026 on Breakglass Records.
